Day 1: Meet Jarvis

I named my AI assistant and gave it a job title. By end of day it knew my business better than most employees.

I've been using ChatGPT for a while — asking it questions, getting estimates reviewed, brainstorming. But it always felt like a tool I had to go to. I wanted something that came to me.

So I set up an open-source tool called OpenClaw that connects Claude (Anthropic's AI) to my phone via Telegram. Think of it as giving an AI a phone number and a job description.

First thing I did: gave it a name and a role.

"You're Jarvis. You're my Chief of Staff."

Then I pointed it at my systems and said figure it out.

What Happened by End of Day

I didn't teach it any of this step by step. I gave it access and let it explore. It read our files, our databases, our past projects — and built its own understanding.

The Mindset Shift

Here's what hit me: this isn't a chatbot. This is a new employee who reads everything you hand them, never forgets, never needs the same thing explained twice, and works at 3am without complaining.

The question isn't "can AI help my business?" The question is "what would I do with a tireless Chief of Staff who already knows everything about my operation?"

Day 1 answered that question fast.
